Hoya Filters are in aluminum anodized rings. Glass is held in place by a snap ring.
Made in Japan.. Except Linear Polarizer's are made in the Philippines.  Hoya also supplies an economy line of camera filters in a Green Box these area also made in the Philippines. The Green series are available only in Skylight, UV and Circular Polarizer's. The Green Series is a non coated filter. This is very popular filter with sellers selling on auction sites. We do not stock any Green Series Filters. We can special order them for you if you would like.

The Hoya Mono Coated camera filters offer both amateur and professional photographers HOYA's famous quality at reasonable prices. They have coatings applied to both surfaces to suppress reflection and increase light transmission. There are a few exceptions in the special effects range which, due to the special materials used in construction, do not have coatings applied

Super HMC Camera Filters

12 Layers of Super Multi Coating are applied to Skylight 1B and UV Filters
the Super HMC Circular Polarizer camera filters have seven layers of multi coating applied to the rear surface to help eliminate internal reflections and ghosting.
These outstanding camera filters offer revolutionary performance in light transmission and color balance. 12 layers of Super Multi coating are applied to the surfaces of the Skylight 1B and UV(0) models, which produces an average transmission of 99.7%! Coupled with maximum surface precision, this allows increased resistance to flare and stunning images can be recorded at wide apertures without compromising the performance of your lenses. Our ultra thin Circular Polarizing filters have seven layers of Multi coating applied to their rear surface to eliminate internal reflections and ghosting. Advanced thin selective film is used to guarantee perfectly polarized light with neutral color balance. Their slim profile of just 5mm avoids any vignetting problems and makes them ideal for use with wide angle lenses. There is no front female thread, but they do accept our push-on lens caps. HOYA Super HMC filters will appeal to the most demanding of photographers who require the ultimate in performance.


Ultra Series Camera Filters

The ultra filters are a thin ring with no front female threads. They are 3mm thick, except the combination UV/Circular Polarizer which is 5mm thick. Multi Coating is applied to both the front and rear filter surfaces. Ultra Series are for wide angle lenses and wide zooms to help reduce vignetting.
Filters in this series use our new ULTRA thin rings which, like the Super PL-CIR filter, are designed primarily to avoid vignetting problems which occur with wide angle lenses. The ULTRA series filters use rings just 3mm in thickness, except for the hybrid UV/Polarizer which has a 5mm rotating ring. HMC Multi coating is applied to both sides of the filters and they are supplied with our push-on lens caps. The Ultra ND filters use new Multi-Layer Coating technology to produce a neutral transmission curve which gives perfect color balance. The hybrid design n the ULTRA series, these combine the effect of two camera filters in one (i.e.: PL-CIR and UV together). This means that HOYA ULTRA series filters are the ultimate choice for wide angle lenses - there is no other filter available to exceed the ULTRA specification.

Hoya Super Pro 1 Camera Filters

The Super Pro 1 an outstanding camera filters offering revolutionary performance in light transmission and color balance. New technology has enabled Hoya to produce superior performance in the UV and Skylight camera filters using a glass just 1mm in thickness. The glass is mounted in a super slim 3mm ring with front filter threads. This enables you to stack filters or use standard snap in lens caps. Twelve layers of multi coating are applied to the surfaces to produce an average light transmission of 99.7%. The Super Pro 1 Circular Polarizer is only 5mm in thickness with front female filter threads. The UV filter is the highest UV reduction filter you can get that will not effect image color.

Hoya Pro 1 Digital Camera Filters.

Digital multi coated. Reduces flare and ghosting caused by reflections. 3mm slim mount rings with front threads. The Digital Pro 1 digital camera circular polarizer is a 5mm slim mount ring with front threads. The polarizing foil is balanced for digital camera’s allowing what you see in the viewfinder is what you get recorded.
